We're thrilled that the new Optimation website has been selected as a finalist in the ONYAs website awards in the category ‘Best use of HTML & CSS’.
The ONYAs are run in conjunction with Webstock, the biggest web industry conference held in this country, and winners will be announced at the Webstock conference in February. The competition was pretty stiff with hundreds of entries across the various award categories, so needless to say we are thrilled to have made the final cut.
As you’ll know if you’ve ever been involved in a website project, even the most deceptively simple requirements can create some big challenges. First, you need the business stakeholders to agree on the site’s purpose and the overall ‘feel’ and tone (this is often a major hurdle in itself). Then, you need to meld the design and communications vision with the practical usability, content management and technical requirements. Often, as in our experience building the new Optimation site, you need to do all this within almost impossibly short timeframes while sticking to a tight budget.
We were already proud of what we’ve achieved with the Optimation website, but the ONYAs recognition is really the icing on the cake. It’s a great credit to our web partners for this project, WebWeaver Productions, and to everyone at Optimation who’s been involved in the project over its various stages. Thanks guys!
