Team Foundation Server (TFS) is Microsoft’s software Application Lifecycle Management tool. It encompasses a range of ALM functionality through work item tracking, planning tools and reports, as well as providing other functionality in the areas of Configuration Management and team collaboration. The next version of TFS will be released early in 2010, and this article considers from a Project Manager's view some of the key features involved in planning and tracking progress on an agile project.

In this paper, we explore how vendors define the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and compare some popular open source ESBs.
Most enterprise integration vendors and open-source communities claim to implement the Enterprise Service Bus concept in their own products, and they provide several services and features that they associate with typical ESB functionality. ESBs provide overlapping features that are prevalent in concepts such as Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Activity Monitoring. This makes the task of evaluating and comparing different ESBs tricky, with a huge subset of features to consider.
